"Among the Living" es el tercer álbum de Anthrax considerada entre The Big Four, las cuatros grandes bandas del Thrash Metal, quizás la cuarta en discordia tras Metallica, Slayer y Megadeth. Es considerado por muchos como el mejor álbum de banda, donde la velocidad y la técnica se mezclan con la crítica y el humor, lo que sería muy característico de la banda de Nueva York.

De este álbum se extraerían 2 singles: " I Am the Law" y "Indians" en 1987.
